No Brainer – TONY HO!!

We cannot recommend Tony Ho enough! There’s an upcharge for him since he’s the owner, but it’s worth it and with the Sounds Abound base pricing as competitive as it is, it was a no brainer. He was an amazing DJ to work with from start to finish. He answered all of our questions so quickly and never made us feel silly for the things we asked (even when I feel like they might’ve been). On wedding day he was so sweet when we finally actually met in person, and he definitely knew what he was doing when playing music for the party. For our first dance, we hadn’t rehearsed anything or told him how much of the song to play, so when we felt we were done I just motioned to him to cut the song and he joked that we were “out of moves” which I thought was very funny. We also didn’t do traditional mother/son or father/daughter dances, but my husband and his mom still wanted a more special song to dance to, and he accommodated this with no judgement at all. If people weren’t dancing, he knew to change the song pretty quickly. Some of the songs had specific notes on them, like that if he played Never Gonna Give You Up he had to BLAME the groomsman that requested it which he did, and we had a special requested song for our 10-month-old nephew, but he noticed that he left the party pretty early so he didn’t play the song because it would have been weird for everyone else, but he still played The Dinosaur Song by Blippi for our 2-year-old niece who loved it. He also understood our whole timeline and accommodated small changes to the speech schedule, as well as the fact that we were going to sneak out for about a half hour to take photos down the road, so he knew not to play any of our (the bride and groom’s) requested songs while we were gone.
