My name is Larry Dorney, also known as DJ L Boogie! As one of the newest team members of
Sounds Abound. Music is in my DNA. My father was a very talented musician who played
multiple instruments, I developed a deep love for music early on. My DJ journey began with
making mixtapes for friends, and soon, I was DJing my first wedding—nervous but hooked.
Now, with over 20 years of experience, I bring a seamless blend of R&B, House, Hip-Hop,
Steppin’, Old School, Jazz, Blues, and ’80s Pop to weddings, corporate events, and private
parties.
I take pride in reading the crowd, curating the perfect playlist, and ensuring every transition
keeps the energy alive. A graduate of WeJam DJ Academy, DJ L Boogie brings top-tier mixing
skills, expert crowd-reading, and a passion for creating unforgettable moments. From your first
